Work Experience Two

About a month ago I went and did a weeks work experience at my little sisters playgroup, which I thought at the time would be an easy week of not doing much... How wrong I was. In a good way!

At the end of the first day I was exhausted, the kids just did not run out of energy! Wanting me to constantly pick them up, give them piggy back rides, spin them around and play with them. Don't get me wrong but there is only so many times you can hear your name in four hours without going a little bit crazy. I quite honestly don't know how the staff cope!

The remainder of the week was spent pretty much as the first day and I do remember one day, one of the kids was hand painting and then gave me a high five with their paint covered hand.
My sister was a bit clingy at first but soon just enjoyed me being there.

All in all I had a good time and if the staff would consider it would definitely go back.

Bike Ride

Yesterday me my brother and dad decided to go on a bike ride up to Edenfield road the main part of the route is a steep climb which leads up to the road and once reaching it it is a quick decent down through Norden village. But let me give you a full run through of the ride.

We set of from our house and followed the road which has a quick steep decent and incline near the cattery and then once making that climb we come out about a quarter of the way up Edenfield road from there its a right turn up some steep hills which seem to go on forever although as you come over the top of on of the hills there is a astounding view of the surrounding country side and especially on the day that we did the ride because the sun had decided to show its face as well as there being a massive German shepherd that barks and sometimes puts you out of your concentration zone.. The trick to keeping going is the mentality behind what your doing and having the attitude to say that you are not going to quit. After going up and down hills for about forty five minutes we reached the road that leads to the main road and as you travel back down Edenfield road you can see all the turbines on your left along with some nice countryside scenery on your right which has a reservoir along its left side when reaching the top of this road its a fast twisting decent back down into Norden and from there its a nice leisurely ride back to our house.
